الدورة السابعة عشر لمنتدى الأمم المتحدة المعني بحقوق الأقليات في جنيف ويتمحور المنتدى حول موضوع “منع النزاعات وحماية حقوق الإنسان للأقليات
” ويحلّل الممارسات والتحديات والفرص والمبادرات في مجال معالجة منع النزاعات وحماية حقوق الإنسان للأقليات، بما يتماشى مع المبادئ والحقوق المنصوص عليها في إعلان حقوق الأشخاص المنتمين إلى أقليات قومية أو إثنية وإلى أقليات دينية ولغوية وفي الصكوك الدولية الأخرى ذات الصلة ويجتمع المنتدى المعني بقضايا الأقليات سنويًا لمدة يومي عمل مخصصَيْن للمناقشات المواضيعية ويوم خاص تحضيري ويوجه المقرر الخاص المعني بقضايا الأقليات عمل المنتدى، ويُعد اجتماعاته السنوية ويقدم تقارير عن توصيات المنتدى المواضيعية المرفوعة إلى مجلس حقوق الإنسان.
Min deltakelse i den syttende sesjonen til FNs forum for minoriteters rettigheter i Genève
Forumet kretser rundt temaet «Forebygging av konflikter og beskyttelse av minoriteters menneskerettigheter» og analyserer praksis, utfordringer, muligheter og initiativ innen konfliktforebygging og beskyttelse av minoriteters menneskerettigheter, i tråd med prinsipper og rettigheter fastsatt i erklæringen om rettighetene til personer som tilhører nasjonale eller etniske minoriteter, religiøse og språklige minoriteter og i andre instrumenter Forumet for minoritetsspørsmål møtes årlig i to arbeidsdager dedikert til temadiskusjoner og en spesiell forberedelsesdag. Spesialrapportøren for minoritetsspørsmål leder forumets arbeid, og forbereder Dens årlige møter og sender rapporter om forumets tematiske anbefalinger sendt til Menneskerettighetsrådet.
My participation in the 17th session of the United Nations Forum on Minority Rights in Geneva
The Forum revolves around the theme “Conflict prevention and protection of the human rights of minorities” and analyzes practices, challenges, opportunities and initiatives in the field of conflict prevention and protection of the human rights of minorities, in line with the principles and rights set out in the Declaration on the Rights of Persons Belonging to National or Ethnic, Religious and Linguistic Minorities and in other instruments. The Forum on Minority Issues meets annually for two working days dedicated to thematic discussions and a special preparatory day. The Special Rapporteur on Minority Issues leads the work of the Forum, prepares for its annual meetings and reports on the thematic recommendations of the Forum to the Human Rights Council.
