نرحب اليوم بالاستاذ محمود المنديل والست سناء سعيد ونثمّن هذه الزيارة التي تعكس الحرص المشترك على بناء جسور التعاون بين مؤسسات الدولة والمنظمات الدولية الفاعلة في مجال دور الإعلام في تناول قضايا الاقليات .
إن مستشارية الأمن القومي تؤمن بأن التنوع الثقافي والديني والإثني في العراق هو مصدر قوة، لا ضعف، وأن حماية حقوق جميع مكونات الشعب العراقي دون تمييز، هو ركيزة أساسية في بناء الدولة المستقرة والعادلة.
ونحن نتابع باهتمام بالغ الجهود المبذولة من قبل الاتحاد، ونتطلع إلى شراكة حقيقية تقوم على تبادل الخبرات، وتوحيد الرؤى الإعلامية والحقوقية، بما يعزز من صوت الأقليات في الساحة الإعلامية ويدافع عن حقوقهم المشروعة.
كما نؤكد دعمنا الكامل لأي مبادرة تهدف إلى رفع مستوى الوعي، ومكافحة خطاب الكراهية، وتعزيز التعايش السلمي، سواء عبر وسائل الإعلام أو في المحافل الدولية.
نرحب بالتعاون معكم، وندعو إلى توسيع هذا التعاون ليشمل برامج تدريبية، وورش عمل، وحملات توعية تعزز من وحدة العراق وتماسك نسيجه الاجتماعي.
وأشاد المنديل بالدور المهم الذي تضطلع به مستشارية الأمن القومي في الحفاظ على الأمن المجتمعي ومتابعة الملفات المتعلقة بالأقليات، مؤكداً استعداد الاتحاد للتعاون والعمل المشترك. ومنها مكافحة خطاب الكراهية ومنع التميز ورصد الانتهاكات وقانون حماية الاقليات.
من جانبها، أكدت السيدة سناء سعيد أهمية التكامل بين مؤسسات الإعلام الرسمية والمنظمات الحقوقية الدولية، مشيرةً إلى دور الإعلام المهني في نقل الحقائق والدفاع عن الحقوق المدنية للمكونات العراقية كافة.
وفي ختام اللقاء، اتفق الطرفان على مواصلة التنسيق وعقد لقاءات دورية لمتابعة المبادرات المشتركة، بما يسهم في بناء مجتمع عراقي قائم على احترام التنوع والعدالة الاجتماعية..
President of the International Union for Minority Media and Human Rights Visits the National Security Advisory
Mr. Mahmoud Al-Mandeel, President of the International Union for Minority Media and Human Rights, accompanied by Ms. Sanaa Saeed, Vice President of the Union, was received by Mr. Saeed Al-Jayashi, Strategic Affairs Advisor at the National Security Advisory in Baghdad.
During the meeting, the parties discussed a range of issues of mutual interest, foremost among them the importance of media in shedding light on the challenges faced by minorities, and the need to support both national and international initiatives to protect human rights and reinforce the principles of pluralism and peaceful coexistence.
In his remarks, Mr. Saeed Al-Jayashi stated:
> “Today, we welcome Mr. Mahmoud Al-Mandeel and Ms. Sanaa Saeed, and we deeply value this visit, which reflects our shared commitment to building bridges of cooperation between state institutions and international organizations engaged in media and minority issues.
The National Security Advisory believes that Iraq’s cultural, religious, and ethnic diversity is a source of strength—not weakness—and that protecting the rights of all components of the Iraqi people without discrimination is a fundamental pillar in building a stable and just state.
We closely follow the efforts made by the Union and look forward to a genuine partnership based on the exchange of expertise and the unification of media and human rights visions, in a way that strengthens the voice of minorities in the media arena and defends their legitimate rights.
We fully support any initiative aimed at raising awareness, combating hate speech, and promoting peaceful coexistence—whether through media channels or in international forums.
We welcome cooperation with you and invite the expansion of this partnership to include training programs, workshops, and awareness campaigns that promote the unity and social fabric of Iraq.”
For his part, Mr. Mahmoud Al-Mandeel commended the vital role played by the National Security Advisory in maintaining social security and following up on minority-related files. He affirmed the Union’s readiness to collaborate and work jointly, particularly in combating hate speech, preventing discrimination, monitoring violations, and advocating for a Minority Protection Law.
Ms. Sanaa Saeed also emphasized the importance of integration between official media institutions and international human rights organizations, noting the key role of professional journalism in conveying truth and defending the civil rights of all Iraqi components.
At the conclusion of the meeting, both sides agreed to continue coordination and hold regular follow-up meetings on joint initiatives aimed at building an Iraqi society based on respect for diversity and social justice.
